As retail recedes from our high streets, a reimaging of redundant shop space was required to regenerate footfall and replace rental income. Repurposing vacant retail and restaurant space, for recreational use in this location was realistic, as the boulevard connects a multi-story car park with the town centre and comprises a well-attended, recently refurbished cinema.
3r implemented a change of use from coffee shop and introduced “Clip ‘n’ Climb” incorporating 8 bespoke climbing walls of varying difficulty. Full fit out comprised lighting scheme, décor, safety apparatus and electrics.
An arcade “Reel Games” and soft play area “Go Wild” to the place of a former restaurant with fit outs incorporating new flooring, redecoration including graphics and signage, kitchen and toilet installations, full electrics, plumbing, security, fibre and sprinkler system installation.
Outcome: Asset now returning revenue higher than the previous occupant tenancy yielded. Footfall to centre increased.
